Michael Jordan, the six-time NBA Champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and one-time NCAA Champion, can now add yet another historical accomplishment to his unbelievable list of accolades.
On March 17, Jordan became the first former player to gain majority ownership stake in a league franchise, when his purchase of the Charlotte Bobcats was approved by the NBA Board of Governors.
The 47-year old held a minority share of the Bobcats prior to the completion of the sale. He also served as managing member of basketball operations for the team.
Jordan can be spotted courtside at Time Warner Cable Arena, the Bobcats’ home venue, during many of the club’s home games.
