Obama’s college campaign tour includes iPad first

President Barack ObamaWith the 2010 midterm elections fast approaching, President Obama has been crisscrossing the country supporting his Democratic colleagues in both congressional and state electoral contests. Much of the President’s focus surrounds the mobilization of young people, a group so essential to his 2008 victory over Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). Many politicians and pundits believe the Democratic Party’s best chance of staving off considerable defeat involves a significant turnout from this very unpredictable voting demographic. Because of this, Mr. Obama has spent a considerable amount of time on or near college campuses.

Edgar Renteria seeking another first

Edgar RenteriaAfter Thursday night’s 9-0 victory over the Texas Rangers, the San Francisco Giants are halfway to capturing the 2010 World Series. Giants shortstop Edgar Renteria broke a scoreless fifth inning tie, after blasting a solo homerun to left field off Rangers starting pitcher C.J. Wilson. Renteria would finish the night with two hits and three RBI. Game 3 of the Fall Classic will take place Saturday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas.

The sight of Edgar Renteria acting clutch in the postseason is nothing new to baseball fans. The 35-year old has played in a whopping seven Octobers during his 15-year career, reaching the World Series on three occasions, with the Marlins, Cardinals and now Giants. His .321 career World Series batting average places him in some rather elite company.

New Black Eyed Peas Out In November

The Black Eyed Peas are a confusing band to me. Some of their stuff is wicked sweet, while other songs seem like they didn't even try at all! We shall see which category their new album will fall into, as they are set to drop a new album in November. The album is entitled "The E.N.D." This lucky little fan got the ultimate fan experience!

Nolan Ryan’s incredible business success in baseball & beyond

Nolan RyanOne of the most notable storylines surrounding the Texas Rangers first-ever American League Championship has been the omnipresence of Hall of Fame pitcher and new team owner Nolan Ryan. Ryan and co-owner Chuck Greenberg were awarded full control of the Rangers in August, after a protracted battle with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Houston businessman Jim Crane. The $608 million transaction was widely celebrated by North Texas baseball fans, after the team had fallen into financial hardship under the stewardship of former proprietor Tom Hicks. Ryan continues to serve as the ballclub’s president, with Greenberg holding the title of CEO.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Perfect Dirty Chic

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen make "dirty chic" look effortless. I can't imagine wearing clothing 5 sizes bigger than you would look nearly as cute on anyone else but one of these two. They always hit the ball out of the park when dressing for a special event, but I have found that I am more transfixed by their everyday casual outfits than their red carpet gear.

What do you think about the Olsen twins style?

Beastie Boys Releasing Part 2 Of Their New Album First

The Beastie Boys have always had a sense of humor. The name of their new album is called "The Hot Sauce Committee" and it has a part one and a part two. In true Beastie fashion, the group is releasing part 2 before part 1. Either way it is sure to be awesome! This lucky fan got pretty close to the Beasties!

The Twins success at Target Field has much to do with design

This season, the Minnesota Twins celebrated their inaugural season of play at Target Field by winning the American League Central Title for the sixth time in nine years. Playing home games outdoors for the first time since 1981, the Twins led the AL with a 53-28 home field record. Aside from the talented Twins roster, much of the credit for this success can be attributed to the buzz associated with this quaint, yet surprisingly imposing ballpark.
