According to Billboard, Fox is about to secure more seasons of their hit show American Idol, no matter if the rumors of Cowell's departure are true or false. American Idol is something that has given me the need for extreme psychotherapy. When it started, I was cool with it. I was cool with it in the same way that you are cool with watching seals getting eaten by sharks during Shark Week on Discovery!!! I thought it was a nightmare, a great premise that was putting more gasoline on the mediocre popular music fire. True it has turned out some decent artists, but they fizzle out at an alarming rate.

Simon Cowell is someone that I respected because he's not afraid to tell somebody that they suck. In fact, the few moments where I have smiled during the entire tenure of the franchise, was when he would ravage the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of people in an incredibly smarmy English manner- while his nips are boldly displayed through his skin tight shirts! I am truly worried now that we will never be able to completely kill American Idol...and that my friends is really scary!!!!!
