Michael Jackson Getting 3D Grammy Tribute

If you thought the elaborate tributes to Michael Jackson were behind us, think again.

The biggest tribute of all may be in the works for this year's Grammy awards, taking place January 31st.

The live prime-time spectacular on CBS will center much of the 52nd annual Grammy telecast on the life and legacy of the late King of Pop.

According to the latest press reports, the awards ceremony will serve up never before seen "This Is It" tour film, as well as tribute performances by Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood, and Usher.

Most exciting for Michael Jackson fans, however, is the partnership between CBS and Target, a deal that will provide millions of television viewers with free "3-D GRAMMY® Glasses" so the masses can enjoy the 3D Michael Jackson tribute from the comfort of home.

The special 3-D presentation will be set to the tune of "Earth Song," and focus on the environmental concerns of many, including Michael Jackson himself.

"It was one of the most important portions of the concert tour to Michael and when Michael saw the film for the first time at his last rehearsal, there were tears in his eyes," says Ken Ehrlich, Grammy co-Executive Producer.

"This very special GRAMMY Moment will feature some of our most respected GRAMMY recipients, all of whom have a great love for Michael," adds Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. "This segment promises to be an emotional highlight of this year's show, and is sure to join the unique list of amazing performances for which the GRAMMY Awards have become renowned."

Get your 3D glasses ready because the 52nd annual Grammy awards is scheduled to air live on CBS January 31st.
