I had an awesome career in radio, but lack the section of the brain necessary for selling out. I can't tell you how many times I would get into the stupidest arguments with program directors. One time, one of my bosses told me that AC/DC wasn't classic rock! After 7 years of that kind of madness, anything seems gravy next to radio!! I had to leave the industry I had loved for so long because it is afflicted with an industry-wide epidemic of stupidity!! I was lucky enough to land a gig as the entertainment editor for a magazine out in L.A.! This was the perfect opportunity to keep doing what I loved, which is entertaining, informing, and general rocking!! I recently did an interview with P-Nut the bass player from 311 for the magazine. P-Nut told me that the band has set it's eyes on South America, and breaking onto the scene down there. P-Nut was extremely excited about this, you could tell in his voice! P-Nut talked with me for over an hour, he is a great guy!! He is super nice, and passionate about his craft. 311 is one of the hardest working acts in music, I recommend seeing them here in the states, to avoid the potential kidnapping that could take place to you in South America...It's a serious problem down there!!
