He is the current TNA Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, however there was a time when AJ Styles was wrestling in bingo halls on the indy circuit. The IWC is a Pittsburgh based promotion and a friend was wrestling on the card so I thought I would go.
I had read about AJ Styles on the internet, but at the time TNA was not on regular TV and only on PPV. He had a great match against current TNA star Chris Sabin and after the match, I saw AJ walking around and went up to say hello. He was cordial and I had told him that I was blown away by his match and asked for a picture.
I always thought he was awesome in the ring after seeing that match, now he seems to be stuck in this lame angle where he wants to be Ric Flair…PLEASE STOP AJ!!!
