It was the 2009 Grammy Awards, and I was there broadcasting live for B94 in Pittsburgh! Now, you may not know this but a few days before the Grammy's a bunch of radio stations interview a ton of stars from music, television and movies!

So, were at the Staples Center in the back area by the Lexus Lounge. For the most part, all the music stars we were interviewing were either new and not really well known yet, or stars past their prime. That changed with Akon.

When Akon and his crew were in the room at least 25 station were clammoring for his attention. I was determined to make sure we got Akon at our booth. What was about to happen, we didn't expect.

While Akon was walking by our booth, we were interviewing one of his many protoges Colby O'donnis. Akon, stops over says whats up to Colby. I say "Akon, pull up a chair man" and he does, along with another one of his artists, Red Cafe.

We had a great interview with all 3, and just let them take the show over, and all chat like friends do when they haven't seen eachother in a while. It was a GREAT moment on the radio LIVE AT THE GRAMMY'S!
