Chicago White Sox outfielder Alex Rios might finally be living up to his seven-year/$69,835,000 contract. The now 31-year-old signed this package with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2008, but has never consistently produced at a $10 million per year level.
After wearing out his welcome with Toronto, during the 2009 season, Chicago claimed the Alabama-native off waivers, with the Jays seeking absolutely nothing in return. The team was more than happy to simply rid themselves of the long term deal they provided Rios.
Rios has been an integral member of the Sox first place run this season, posting 24 homeruns and 87 RBI, while displaying none of the character issues he once was known for.
This property, located 11 miles southwest of Angel Stadium of Anaheim, is Chicago’s hotel of choice when visiting the Angels.
Per the above piece of iFolloSports.com original video, Rios is seen interacting with fans, as he returns from the South Coast Plaza shopping mall, situated on the other side of Bristol Avenue, via a pedestrian bridge.
