While in Los Angeles for the 2012 Rose Bowl, both the Wisconsin Badgers and Oregon Ducks are conducting practice at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The all-purpose sports venue is located 16 miles south of downtown LA’s JW Marriott Los Angeles LA Live, the Badgers’ base of operation during Rose Bowl Week.
Oregon has set up shop at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, situated in the Century City neighborhood of West LA.
During last January’s Rose Bowl prep, the Badgers stayed at the Century Plaza, while practicing on the Home Depot Center field designated for Oregon during this week’s festivities. Perhaps, the dual changes in scenery will propel UW to victory in Monday’s game. A year ago, TCU took down the boys from Madison 21-19.
As Wednesday’s practice came to a conclusion, the Big Ten champions walked up the “red carpet” towards their temporary locker room. This ifollosports.com original video showcases an initial group of players, led by massive offensive lineman Jake Current.
Checkout legendary Wisconsin coach Barry Alvarez on the right of the screen. The school’s current athletic director hopped off a golf cart and headed over to an awaiting vehicle.
The final group of players to make their way through the shot included senior quarterback Russell Wilson. The North Carolina State transfer is escorted by a member of the university’s security detail.
