My wife, a friend and I were waiting for a table to open up at the Cheesecake Factory, in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles.  I decided to run next door to The Daily Grill, in search of a lesser wait time.   I push my way through the revolving door and literally bump into Barbra Streisand and James Brolin leaving the restaurant.  The funny part was I’m almost certain that Babs and I had similar plans that night, as it was the eve of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. We were both looking to get our last meals in before the traditional fast was set to take place.  Streisand looked exactly the same as her many TV/stage appearances.  I have never really been a huge fan of hers.  My mom, on the other hand, loves Babs.  So, she was overjoyed that I bumped into one of her favorites and on Kol Nidre no less.
