I have had quite a few adventures at The Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. My original thoughts on NASCAR had been changed by my very first experience there. It isn't all rednecks...there are also a ton of hot scantilly clad women. In the middle of the place is what is known as th "infield." The infield is a place of wonder and joy. Flashing is a common practice, and more beer is consumed there than I have ever witnessed anywhere else in my life. Upon witnessing these things, your concept of boring left turns, and people missing teeth tend to evaporate!

My last adventure at M.I.S. was last year in August. My radio station had set up a promotion in which a few listeners would actually get to stand on the main part of the track for flyover and driver introduction. It was a really sweet promotion, and it meant that I too was going to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity!

I was extremely close to all the drivers, and looked out into the sea of people in the stands. It was an extremely cool thing to see! Out of nowhere a man completely dressed in denim walked into my peripheral vision. He was wearing denim jeans, a denim shirt, and a denim long sleeved coat...in the middle of AUGUST! No it wasn't just some redneck, it was a famous one! He goes by the name Bill Engvall! I asked him why all the denim on a hot day, and he said he flew from California where it was a bit cooler. He also confided in me that it was a terrible decision! I concurred! I truly and honestly believe though, that he just loves denim!
