There's always a first time for everything, and mine was soon approaching. FrontRowNews was heading down to Tampa to cover the George Strait Festival. I had arranged through Brad Paisley's label, to have a sit down interview with him at the venue, all I'd have to do is get ahold of his onsite publicist at the right time, and meet up with them. Sounds easy, but not at a football stadium with 50,000 fans (inside and out).

At this time, not sure if this was our first George Strait Festival. Some of the other acts were Sara Evans & Alan Jackson.

When we got to the stadium, it wasn't your typical concert. So much was also going on, out the stadium. Smaller stage were built, for younger acts, plenty of food vendors and more. The environment was more of a fair or carnival..and alot of fun.

We ( another staffer) headed over to pick up our tickets and media pass, before we did anything else. After grabbing some food, and walking around.. it was time for me to make the call.

After reaching the publicist, we met in a designated spot..and he took me up to the media area ( where usually sports reporters are, that cover Tampa Bay Bucs.) I was in the media suite, that overlooked the inside of the stadium.."what a view".

I don't remember much about the intrview, though it did go off okay. I do remember asking him about a picture I saw of him wearing a "fro".  Brad told me it was for a disco themed Halloween party.

As we were riding the elevator down to the parking, and his bus.. Brad asked " aren't you going to get a picture or anything?". Maybe I was a little more nervous than I thought I was.

Brad was easy to talk to, and I certainly didn't feel rushed. Brad and his publicist made an awesome day at the festival, that much better.
