Wisconsin Badgers head football coach Bret Bielema is in the midst of an incredible run of success, since taking over for Barry Alvarez in 2006. His 60-18 record places him and the Badgers in the very upper echelon of football programs, not just in the Big Ten, but on a national scale as well. When factoring in Bielema’s now second straight trip to Pasadena, it seems abundantly clear that the school is poised to make a serious run at their long sought-after BCS Championship. Wisconsin has been knocking on the door for years.
Badger fans hope that the Iowa Hawkeye grad’s 22-4 record, during the last two seasons, is a sign of what is yet to come. One thing is certain, enthusiasm is at an all-time high in the stands of venerable Camp Randall Stadium.
The above ifollosports.com original video displays a relaxed Bielema, conversing with members of the football program, shortly after his Wednesday practice came to a close. The 41-year-old is sporting a Wisconsin backpack.
The Home Depot Center practice fields have become the coach's second home, during the last two winters at least.
Bielema hopes that Monday’s return trip to the “Granddaddy
of Them All” will produce a better outcome than last January’s disappointing
loss to Andy Dalton and TCU.
