One of the best things that can happen to me as a radio dude is when an artist makes a fan out of me.

To me, Busta Rhymes has always been good, but not great. I would occasionally play a Busta CD in my deck, but I couldn't call myself a big fan. I just never had a strong opinion of him either way.

But after spending an hour with him in a studio for an interview, I can now say I am a fan of Busta Rhymes. If not for his music, I am definitely a fan of his personality.

He was so loud and lively. Big and boisterous. Fun and friendly. Simply put, Busta was a cool cat.

After the on-air interview, I hit him with an impromptu video interview while filming him with my Sony camcorder. I asked him about the controversial segment from Yo! MTV Raps a few years back with his then-group Leaders of the New School.

He was totally open and honest about a certain member "F-in' with my money" and used a couple more cusswords for the full effect. Real dope video clip. I'll have to come back and post it on this article soon. Keep checkin' back!

Moral of the story: I'm a Busta Rhymes fan.
