I love all kinds of music, but there is a precious little section of my  scaley, radioactive, black, little heart reserved for rock and metal! I got a phone call from a record label rep asking me if I wanted to do an interview with Rob Halford! The guy is a legend, and is definitely one of the most brutal frontmen of all time! Without a doubt I was in! I got a call on the interview hotline at the station. It was a rep connecting me with Rob Halford. Rob got on the phone and told me right away that he was on a cell phone, and that the connection wasn't the best. He said if we got disconnected he would try to call me back. This worried me, people on tour are being pulled in millions of directions, and it is hard to keep it all straight. I really didn't want to have Rob get disconnected. The interview was going well until about 3 questions deep. In the middle of one of my questions I heard a clicking noise, followed by dead silence on the other end! Oh no! I knew I had been disconnected... NOT COOL! The record rep called and said that Rob was gonna have the bus pull over somewhere, so he could find a landline. I appreciated the call, but wasn't expecting a call back. 20 minutes elapses, and sure enough the hotline rings again. It was Mr. Rob Halford. He was a really nice guy, very friendly! The interview was really great, and he answered all of my questions! Metal God is absolutely a class act!
