Carlos Marmol is a relief pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, who's in his seventh season with the team. Marmol was originally a starting pitcher at the Major League level, before the Cubs decided to bring him out of the bullpen. His best season took place in 2010, when the then closer totaled 38 saves.
During the last couple years, Marmol struggled as the team’s closer, tying for the most blown saves in the National League in 2011 (10).
Earlier this season, Chicago removed him from the closer role.
Despite his recent difficulty, Marmol remains a pretty well known player, as the above iFolloSports.com original video displays.
