Chad Greenway is an outside linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings, playing in his sixth season out of Iowa. To this point, Greenway has put together a nice career, becoming a fan favorite in Viking Country. During last offseason, he signed a five-year/$41million contract extension to remain in Minnesota.

Last Wednesday evening, Greenway appeared at the Sky Deck Sports Grille and Bar in the Mall of America, for his bi-weekly radio show appearance during the NFL season.

Greenway was asked a little bit about football, but even more personal “off the field” questions. Greenway grew up in South Dakota and attended college at Iowa. As a result, he is very comfortable spending time amongst the football fans in Minnesota. He came off as both approachable and accommodating, when interacting with his fellow Midwesterners.

Even though the Vikings were a miserable 2-7 at the point of the appearance, coming off an embarrassing 45-7 loss to the arch rival Packers, there was still a nice turnout at the event.

Sunday, the Vikings dropped another game, falling to 2-8 after a 27-21 loss to the Raiders. Greenway recorded his first sack of the season and totaled 15 tackles, seven solo and eight assisted, in a losing effort.
