Last night, I attended the premiere of “The Fighter” in Los Angeles. While at the event, I got a good look at Christian Bale, who played Dickie Eklund in the film. Eklund’s character is the brother of Micky Ward, played by Mark Wahlberg. While I was standing near Bale, I overheard a producer mention that Bale does not cut his hair in between roles. My photo definitely backs up that theory. Bale was wearing a jacket that said “Team Dickie Eklund” on the back. The real Dickie Eklund, who was also in attendance, was wearing the same jacket as Bale. The real Eklund and the actor portraying him in the movie appeared to get along really well throughout the night.
