Ok so generally most celebrities tend to be late for interviews.  I should have known better with Ice Cube.  I mean who schedules an interview right at the time that I go on the air lol? So as Im getting out the car I see Ice Cube and his small entourage (for lack of a better word) walking into the building.  I quickly ran in the building after I saw them get on the elevator so I could take the short cut into the studio.   After all, I like to prepare for my interviews aka go to the bathroom, get a snack and cram on the internet to see what that celebrity is promoting and what they have been up to.  In radio we call that process “showprep”.  I was a little nervous about interviewing Cube but not really.  I was nervous because Cube can come off very serious and I always like to get my guests to crack a smile.  I wasn’t nervous because I had interviewed him a few months before in LA during a press junkett for the movie, “First Sunday”. I also was anxious to interview him because he is ICE CUBE, MC, writter, director, and  producer!  So much to talk about so little time.  But we covered all bases from being a father of 4, the state of hip hop and black people in America to his show "Black/White".  And if you look real hard at this picture you can see him smiling. Look harder lol.  Just another day in Laiyasworld…….
