For DJ Jazzy Jeff life after "The Fresh Prince of Bellair" is better then ever.  I met Jeff, my Aquarius brother, a few years ago as apart of my matriculation into Philadelphia as a DC girl.  You see although Jeff has been missing in action in the commercial TV world, he has managed not only to maintain his rep as a phenomenal DJ, but also continues to add to his brand the.  Maybe you didn't know that because of Jeff we now know of a singer/actress named Jill Scott.  Maybe you didnt know he has been producing and releasing great compilation albums for the past 10 years.  Maybe you didn't know that he put together a stable of Grammy winning producers who went on to produce hits for Michael Jackson, Usher, Musiq Soulchild, Mary J Blige and many more.  Maybe you didn't know that Jeff  was one of the muses for Nintendo's "DJ Hero".  And maybe you also didn't know how hard it is to get Jazzy Jeff to come in for any type of interview lol.  Well all these things are true and when I was co-hosting a morning show in Philadelphia I was one of the rare and privileged radio folks to get him to come in.  And boy, he didn't disappoint.  He even vented on the current state of hip hop on the radio!  I loved it when guests would say what I was thinking!  Oh and just so you know, he and Will Smith are still close and sometimes get together and perform, but mostly at Will's movie wrap parties lol (its great to watch!).  Thanks Jeff!   Just another day in laiyasworld....
