As I've mentioned in my bio and in my article about meeting WC from Westside Connection, I'm a huge ol' school west coast rap fan.
The Click was another one of the best west coast groups back in the day. Its members were D-Shot, B-Legit, Suga T, and E-40. While each member eventually released solo projects, E-40 has achieved the most success.
He was scheduled to perform in Central California in early 2006, so he came by during my radio show to hype it up. I told him right of the bat, "This is your show, it's E-40 radio." So he made himself right at home and we proceeded to have a long and entertaining interview. We talked about the "good ol' days" of west coast hip hop, the cats he looked up to, the importance of Mac Dre to West Coast rap, and a lot more.
He was impressed that I remembered his starring role in Mali-Booty. I even called him out and had him rap the first verse of one of my favorite joints by The Click, "Mr. Flamboyant." He forgot a couple words, but we both laughed it off.
E-40 was a cool cat, and it made for a great interview.
Plus, I really dig the Thizz Face photo we took.
