He is Sean Kingston. Do you remember the song Beautiful Girls, the one that sampled Ben E. Kings classic Stand By Me? It was all over the radio...kinda hard to miss.
Sean had an in-studio visit with me where I got to learn more about him. It was a rough interview however because Sean was under the weather and had lost his voice. So it's hard for him to showcase his talents as a new artist especially when he can barely speak.
The interview itself was brief because of his lack of voice. Sean was cool both times I met him and still very gracious to radio stations for playing his songs.
I did later speak with him about his song 'Fire Burning' where he spoke about being in a club and seeing a really attractive woman tearing it up on the dance floor...setting the dance floor on fire, hence the song's name. It dawned on me he was still 19 and being from Miami had me question how he's been to these places without being of age. Just another perk of being a celebrity on the rise.
Sean was a good kid, signed autographs for our staff and was in and out quickly. It was a brief visit but fun.
