While on a personal vacation and walking through the mall at Ceasar's I came across a sports store & noticed someone was signing that day.  Much to my surprise it was Charlie Hustle.  Baseball's All Time Hit Leader Pete Rose!!  I couldn't have been more excited.

Even though Pete had played before the era I grew up in, I remember watching highlights of him play.  Being a huge baseball fan this was an opportunity I didn't want to pass up.  Much to my surprise it was $40 just for a signed photo.  Who am I to tell the guy how to make a living but sheesh $40!  That's alot of scratch.

Either way I paid it and my logic was if this guy ever gets in to Cooperstown and has a plaque at the Baseball Hall Of Fame I have his autograph.

So when I sat down with Pete I found he couldn't be nicer, although still on his bluetooth while signing and placing bets for later.  Yeah, the guy still bets!  Couldn't believe it after all the drama it has caused him with baseball and the lifetime ban!

Regardless, he was a nice man, posed for a few pictures and had some idle conversation with him.  I asked him what he's been up to and he had mentioned he was doing alot of these type of signings.  It was at this point I realized the autograph I just paid $40 for was probably worth way less than that.  Memorabilia is a supply and demand type business.  Although I will say, there was absolutely NO line to meet a fallen hero from the Big Red Machine.
