I was hanging out at the All-Star FanFest in Anaheim, when I suddenly was standing right next to of all people, Greg Ostertag. At an event like this, obviously one expects to see a bunch of famous baseball players, not massive former NBA ballers.
Ostertag is a mountain of a man. It’s funny how even a seven footer’s height is distorted when watching a game, because of all the other big people on the court. Away from basketball, it is simply incredible how tall this man is. There were two obvious clues that I was next to Ostertag. His height and his infamous Flintstones tattoo. The tattoo was as present as ever on his ankle.
Ostertag is probably living a pretty nice life these days, considering he made almost $50 million during his career. He is retired and I read that he is a resident of Arizona. It was fun to see a famous, yet pretty random athlete like Greg Ostertag at an MLB All-Star event.
