Shaggy is a really cool guy!   The only thing I can say about this guy is he is almost like interviewing two different people at the same time.  Ask him about his personal life and he's just like a regular guy...ask him about his career, that's when you meet the true Shaggy.  The one with the voice notorious from hits like "It Wasn't Me" and "Boombastic."

I ran into Shaggy first backstage at a concert in 2001 in Philadelphia.  He had already been on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans...the kind that knew every word to his songs.  Yet, backstage I said "good show" Shaggy and he grinned a mile long and said, thank you so much.  Then asked me "out of curiosity, which song do you think the fans liked the most?"  He was totally interested in pleasing the fans and was genuinely interested in my opinion, I found that to be very cool.

Shaggy still performs many reggae festivals and concerts throughout the U.S.  If you ever have the opportunity to talk to, meet or even watch this guy perform...do it.  He made me a fan.
