For the last few months, I produced the highlight packages for the NFL Honors show, hosted by Alec Baldwin. The program aired the night before Super Bowl XLVI on NBC.
Once the show started taping, I was done with my work, so I went to have a drink to celebrate being finished.
While at the backstage bar at Indianapolis’ Murat Theater, presenters, athletes, and celebrities were in and out all night. I had a few drinks with Jon Hamm, who presented the Offensive Player of the Year award. Hamm couldn't have been a nicer guy and he is actually a huge sports fan.
Other than that, I really didn't talk to anyone else. I did see Tim Tebow, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Archie Manning, Roger Goodell, Emmanuelle Chriqui (presenter - E's girlfriend on Entourage), Marshall Faulk, Rich Eisen, Jack McBrayer, Joel McHale, and a host of others.
Everyone seemed to be having a great time and I would be shocked if the NFL decides not to broadcast an NFL Honors show every year moving forward.
