I don't get to interview every celebrity.  I remember one time our morning show got the opportunity to interview Bob Saget as he was promoting his stand up later that night at the Improv.  So I made it a point to get my rear end out of bed early enough to go take a facebook photo with the guy who played the loveable dad on the mid 90's comedy "Full House."

What I found out about the very tall former host of America's Funniest Home videos was definetly a bit of a shock. 

Mind you this was well before Bob Saget's guest appearances on HBO's "Entourage" so I had no clue what I was in for.

Bob is genius.  He is quick witted and has a sense of humor about the character he played back in the day.  In fact, turns out Bob Saget was always a comedian who had a past of a very blue stand up routine.  We just never knew it because we saw im every Friday night putting up with Kimmy Gibbler.

In a world of celebrities who are focused on self image, it was a refreshing change of pace to meet Bob Saget and realize noone made more fun of him than himself.  In fact, during his interview with our morning show...he even dialed up John Stamos aka Uncle Jesse.  Off screen the two are still close.

I found out he still keeps in contact with most of the cast and much like on the show, they are like members of his extended family.

By the way, later that night I checked out his standup...if you've never seen it, seek out the HBO special "That Ain't Right."  It pretty much sums up his act!
