I met Jessica at our radio station on a Sunny Wednesday morning.  I was so pumped to meet the girl who had the same birthday as me, shared a middle name and our love for the Dallas Cowboys... we even lived in the same city....OH, and I guess people born on July 10th have a common sense level that isn't too high.... I'm the first to admit, I say and do some things that make people go "Huh".  So I feel sorry a little for Jess, because I really think she didn't understand the controversary around her "chicken of the sea" comment.  My philosophy is:  If someones never told you, then how in the world are supposed to know.  I just learned today at IHOP that over medium eggs is the same as medium eggs. 

When Jessica arrived at the studio she was very poised, polite, and TINY.  She walks in with all the confidence in the world like its her 726549393734674 millionth time she's been at a radio station and interviewed by a nerdy DJ.  I was trying to keep my cool cause, well... she was keeping her cool.  She talked about the Cowboys, growing up in Richardson, TX, and how different country music is from all the other genres of music. 

The best surprise was when her dad, Joe Simpson, walked into the room.  I'll admit, I read the gossip mags, and this guy doesn't have the best reputation.  He's known for being over-bearing, controlling Jessica's career, and worst of all, he's been blamed as the reason his daughter's marriage failed.

My opinion, JOE WAS THE BOMB...He was friendly and he was the dad out of your friends that everyone liked. He dressed cool, had cool hair, and very put together.  He's a very smart business man, and he carries himself well...He also makes it clear how much he loves his daughters and his family.  They came across as very real people.   I give the Simpsons 2 thumbs up .....and I'm not talking about Marge and Homer.
