Our radio station was holding a 'Pre Taylor Swift Concert Party'
with only a verbal promise that she would show. I'm outside greeting
listeners, when suddenly the crowd becomes hushed. Taylor had walked
out onto a small stage, and instead of screams, there was dead silence. The crowd was in awe!

I'm supposed to interview her, I rush back inside, jump onstage
and look into the eyes of one of the most intelligent people I've ever
met. Gracious, sweet, talented, and leave it to me to make her tear up.
I mentioned how proud we are of her bringing new listeners to country
music, and what a wonderful job her Mom and Dad
had done in raising a fine young lady. Yep! She hugs me with tears in
her eyes, and tells all of us how much she missed her parents and how
lucky  she is to be standing in front of US. Classy lady!
