So there I am sitting in my office when a buddy of mine calls and asks if I want to grab lunch with him a "surprise business associate" out at the outdoor patio cafe. I say sure why not so I head outside and down a block and see my buddy and fricking MANUTE BOL!
Are you kidding me?!
The tallest man in NBA history from the Sudan and one of the most recognizable (because of his size and names) players in NBA history. So there we are, a half a body shorter than him chillin' at an outdoor patio. Manute couldn't have been nicer or funnier, telling us stories about his famous fight versus Alonzo Mourning, when he fake fought the Fridge in a made for TV bout (Bol donated all of his winnings and most of his career earnings to Sudan), he told stories about how Robert "The Chief" Parish hid pot in his shoes in the airport, etc.
Bol's personality and heart are as big as he is tall and he couldn't have been nicer.
