Entering it's 9th season on FOX, do you remember every seasons runner up?  In season one, remember Justin Guarini?  Remember Clay Aiken in season 2?  In fact, it is possible for the Idol runner up to have a successful career after the hit reality television show.  Think Daughtry, that guy finished 5th!

In season 5 the runner up to American Idol was Katharine McPhee, easily one of my favorite contestants on the show who had some success with radio hit 'Over It'

Katharine played our summer concert in Orlando in 2008 and people loved her.  She is a sweet girl who was enjoying a bit of success at the time.  She was even featured on television shows such as Ugly Betty and CSI: NY and even got married.  Since then, Katharine was dropped from her label and actually just recently put out a new album titled Unbroken.

A few observations about Katharine...she was a sweet girl but was kind of abrupt with her fans like she was in a rush.  She also tried to avoid the topic of American Idol.  What we find with many of the shows former contestants is they try to put the show behind them and use it as more of a stepping stone to launch their career.

Katharine is a stunningly beautiful girl and was nice to me, I just wished she was a little more accomidating to her fans.
