Actor and producer James Woods is making headlines for trying to tempt notably reclusive actress and Twilight star Kristen Stewart into headlining his upcoming film "An American Girl."  An aggressive James Woods says "It's a slam dunk Oscar for her."

Will Kristen Stewart prove herself open to the very public entreaties from James Woods - a process that reportedly began before Twilight was even released? Well, if there's one thing I know for certain about James Woods, its how utterly charming and persuasive he can be.

I first met James Woods a few years ago at the Television Critics Association conference  in Los Angeles. And I could tell from the way he ordered his coffee to the way he took command of the presenter's stage that James Woods knows how to sell himself and any project of his own.

Working with Woods at the conference afforded me an opportunity to gauge how passionate the actor is about his work, which is similarly apparent for "An American Girl," a project he plans to direct, produce, and star in. Although I only met him once, our encounter was sufficient to illustrate why so many entertainment heavyweights enjoy working with James Woods. And something tells me Kristen Stewart will learn this lesson herself in the very near future.
