Jared Allen is an All-Pro defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings. With a total of 97.5 career sacks, number 69 is without question one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL.

In his eighth year out of Idaho State, Allen is well known for his outgoing personality and cowboy-like persona, most notably when displaying his famous calf rope celebration, after recording a quarterback sack. As a result of these accolades, the sometimes mullet wearing Allen is an enormous fan favorite in Viking Country.

Allen makes a bi-weekly appearance on “The Jared Allen Show”, a radio program that originates from the Sky Deck Sports Grille and Lanes at the Mall of America. Despite the Vikings completely disastrous season, on the night of this report, Allen was as outgoing as ever, interacting with the big turnout of fans who came out on the night before Thanksgiving.

The Vikings had just come off a loss to the Raiders, where Allen did not record a sack for the first time all year. Including his one sack vs. the Broncos on Sunday, Allen has now totaled 14.5 sacks for the season, making him one of the few bright spots in an otherwise very forgettable season for the Vikings.
