Jessica Simpson touched down at London's Heathrow Airport this weekend only to be greeted by both paparazzi and fans. Incredibly, it was the paparazzi who were actually nice to the star while fans reportedly had more than a few awkward questions for the singer.

Simpson, who recently lost her dog Daisy in a freak coyote snatching incident, was asked by one fan if she's talked to ex-husband Nick Lachey about their lost pup (you see, he was the one who gave Daisy to Simpson so the dog was kind of his, too). Simpson didn't want to talk and was uncharacteristically quiet... if not downright aloof and off-putting.

A lot of folks just haven't been nice to Jessica lately. Martha Stewart, for example, recently weighed in on Jessica's dog parenting, saying that she "should have watched it more closely." "Get another dog," added Stewart, who has since apologized for her bluntness.

Ironically, the photogs on scene in London were surprisingly polite and just happy to snap away as Simpson returned from Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday where she's been taping scenes for her new reality flick "The Price of Beauty."
