Jimmie Johnson has won five consecutive Sprint Cup Series championships. The El Cajon, California native has also been extremely successful at Auto Club Speedway. Johnson has collected five total Sprint Cup victories in Fontana, two in the former Auto Club 500 and three in the second race that used to run at this track (called Pepsi 500, Sharp AQUOS 500 & Pepsi Max 400 at different points).  Johnson’s attempt at winning consecutive Auto Club races included his practice efforts prior to qualifying.
