I have to admit, back in Junior High (middle school), I wasn't the biggest fan of Boy Bands.

In my Sony Walkman, you'd find Beastie Boys and NWA cassette tapes. Never would you catch me bumpin' N`Sync or Color Me Badd. Ok, maybe some Bell Biv Devoe or New Edition, but that's it! But I never, ever owned a New Kids on the Block album.

Of course, since they were the biggest band in the hostory of the world at the time, everyone knows the words to all their hit songs (at least the hooks).

Flash forward a couple decades and suddenly I hear that Jordan Knight, a founding father of NKOTB, is making a stop at our building to visit with the...SOFT ROCK station! Wow, that's a switch, huh?

He was releasing a solo CD called Love Songs and was promoting it to his now-target demo.

I can't explain why, but even though I wasn't a New Kids fan and couldn't name a single song from Jordan's solo album, I felt that I NEEDED to grab a photo with this guy. And I did. Right there in the lobby of the building. He seemed like a really humble guy, had a firm hand shake, flashed a killer smile, and kinda reminded me of Ferris Bueller.

Good guy. I hope his solo career does well enough that he doesn't have to do anymore reunion shows.
