I was in san Diego taking a bunch of contest winners out to dinner  with Paul Stanley of KISS.

Paul Stanley is the epitome of a rock star. In my opinion, he has  actually defined the role of rock star from the time the black star of  kabuki makeup covered his right eye 'til right now.

It was always a pleasure working with Paul for just that reason. He  was the ultimate professional in terms of doing what he had to do to promote a record or concert, but it was the certain subtleties he  projected in the way he interacted with people. Whether explaining why 
he was late for a photo session with, "I tried!", to ordering at least two or three entrees from a menu to get a sampling of everything, he was the ultimate rock star!

At this particular dinner, he had drawn a caricature of himself in makeup on the tablecloth and we played KISS trivia with the contest winers to see who got to take it home. Indeed, a dinner none of us 
present would ever forget....
