Shorty after seeing Artest, I decided to walk across 1st Ave to the Graves Hotel because I didn't remember seeing the most famous Laker walk into the arena. There was still a crowd of fans standing outside the hotel's entrance, so it would make sense that these people were braving the cold weather because they wanted to see Kobe Bryant. Suddenly, Bryant walked out of the hotel to make his way through the Target Center side door where the rest the team, except for Artest, had entered the building. Kobe was mobbed by fans, who were yelling and chanting his name. Kobe was escorted through the crowd by a couple of other guys. Not surprisingly, Bryant was the only player helped across the street by security. He was also the only player who received rock star status from fans. Due to the screaming fans and the cold, windy weather, Kobe walked through at a rapid pace. He didn't sign autographs or really do much more than just acknowledge the fans. I know that he was cold, but so were the other people who had stood out there for a lot longer waiting to see him. I was able to snap not such a great photo of Kobe as he walked out of the hotel. His speed and maybe the weather impacted the photo's quality, but its definitely him.
