Fabolouso Fabolouso! It was pretty interesting
to see fab again. You see I have ties with Fab and know a thing or 2 about him
b4 the public knows. Anywho, Fab was just cranky or something was up when we
interviewed! As soon as he came into the studio I said well finally you’ve come
to visit us, its about time. You see, fab was suppose to make it to the station
on a few occasions and never did. But ooooowheee I gotem!! Lol We got to talk
about his album that was hitting stores that week on july 26th(the day before
my bday) “losos way” inspired by the movie carlitos way, he said. ..cool! When
I asked him about who was on his album he named artists like keri hilson,
jay-z, and trey songz to mention a few but he was so sarcastic when answering
the question. He acted as though he was too cool for the interview or
something. Who knows what it was but we continued to talk about some of his
favorite foods and he expressed that he’d eat almost anything but sushi. lol
Who doesn’t eat sushi now a days? Apparently not him! I tried to sneak in some
questions about his long time girlfriend who he just recently had a baby with
but he continued to change the subject…ok fine! I asked him if he could spit a
freestyle to represent Brooklyn but again his too cool demeanor didn’t allow
him too do so. Either that or he just doesn’t have is A game up on freestyle!
He replied, “I don’t freestyle I’m 5 albums in already”, as if he was passed
that level. Rule #1 if you’re a rapper you should know how too freestyle, sorry
Fab you def don’t get away with that one in my book! At this point his swag
began too annoy me so I decided to pull his cards. A good friend of mine who
hangs at all the places in ATL and where Fab is always hanging, told me she was
in a restaurant one day when Fab’s credit cards were declined. It started a
disagreement, then led into a fight involving one of the members of his
entourage and the restaurant bouncer.
So I asked him about it and of course he down played the situation
saying that he heard that too. He said, “ I don’t even own credit cards”,
..sure Fab! So we wrapped up the interview and I let him plug his album, which
by the way did pretty well. Once the mic’s were off he then came by to ask
where I was from and if I hung out in ATL and ya know acted like he was
interested in my life. Lol I kindly replied to his questions and said “not to be rude
but I’ve got a show to continue on with and smirked.” He was thrown off and
said no doubt, thanks!

Best quote ever: “not to be rude but I’ve got a show to continue on with"

Haha! I love it. I would have been the same way after doing an interview like that. I feel an artist ALWAYS needs to be "on" and ready to give a good interview (or freestyle). It's all part of promoting the album or concert. I hate when some artists act like it's a chore.

Good article.
