Another of my many adventures at the awesome music festival that takes place in Lansing, MI every year, Common Ground. The day was so hot and rainy I thought I had done something personal to offend the universe, and/or all knowing cosmic being. I am a husky, steak-eatin' Midwesterner, so moisture and heat don't do my constitution well! I was in charge of a meet n' greet that my idiot boss had totally forgotten about. I was to do another meet n' greet on the other side of the concert with the band Drowning Pool. Now, a precursor as to why I referred to my former boss as an idiot. I had asked her earlier in the week if she wanted me to handle the Staind meet n' greet, as it was a really big deal, and I was already going to be there. She stated that she had it under control. Now, 15 minutes before the Staind meet n' greet that I had set up through the label, my boss called and told me that I would need to do it. The mission at hand was to gather about 14 people, take them through a giant crowd of other concert goers, and escort them to the area behind the stage. This is not an easy task with such a short amount of time. I somehow manifested mutant powers and got the listeners to the area they needed to be on time. I rule!! The listeners were very excited and happy to meet the band. The guys came out of their bus spent a good amount of time talking to their fans. They were uber nice, Mike Mushok, and Aaron were the talkers. Very nice guys and good to their fans. Nice job Staind!!
