Mia Hamm can not only dance on the soccer field, but on a bar as well.

It was the night of the inaugural WUSA game (Women’s Professional Soccer League) featuring the Washington Freedom and the greatest of them all, Mia Hamm. The Washington Freedom won the inaugural game at RFK Stadium, and afterwards, the team headed over to Cafe Citron in Washington DC, to celebrate.  And celebrate they did.

I saw Mia, typically reserved in nature, and her teammates, dancing atop the bar in celebration of the league.  Out of character?  Perhaps.  But if there ever was a time for Ms. Hamm to let her hair down, this was it.  The women who helped make women's soccer what it is today deserved her moment on the bar.  Congrats to Mia and the rest of the team for trailblazing for generations to come.  I'll dance to that!
