A couple weeks ago, I was having dinner at the Bandera Restaurant in West Los Angeles, when Julie Andrews settled in at the table right next to us.  She was wearing a baseball hat perhaps to conceal her identity, but it was clearly her.  The funny thing was while trying not to be seen, she did smile at me after it was apparent that I knew who she was.  Andrews still looks very attractive and glamorous, despite being in her mid 70’s.   She was accompanied by her husband Blake Edwards, who was in a wheel chair and other people who may have included family or support staff.  The biggest thrill of seeing Andrews involved the truly legendary status of her career.  This is a woman of accomplishment, not some flash in the pan.  It would have been great if she broke out into song, but instead she just enjoyed dinner with the rest of us that night.
