My radio station threw a concert, the End of Summer Slam, in 2006. Yes, the above date is correct. In Florida, we celebrate the end of summer in September! I'll never forget this concert, and meeting Nonpoint. It was the weekend my husband and I got married. Every jock on our radio station is required to attend a large event that we sponsor. So in true radio personality form, I took my husband to a concert the day before our wedding.  

Nonpoint originated in Fort Lauderdale, so they're local to us. End of Summer Slam was to be the first of many times I'd meet the band. We did the standard meet and greet, and they were friendly and funny guys.

Since then, I've seen the singer, Elias, at some of our radio station gigs. He'd just stop by and have a drink or take a shot with some of the staff. 

Last time I saw him was last summer at Iron Maiden, on the floor of the Bank Atlantic Center. 

Elias and his bandmates are solid guys, and Nonpoint rocks!
