Meeting Pauly Shore is an EXPERIENCE. The week we had him on the morning show I produced at CBS4 in Miami, we were also running a segment about a German food festival. Pauly Shore comes into the studio, crashes the guy's segment, and steals his bratwurst. During a commercial break, he then proceedes to literally skip around the studio, with the bratwurst sticking out from the waistband of the track suit he was wearing, yelling out how much he loves weiner and asking everyone in the studio if they do, too. Television is full of stuff-shirts and corporate types, a complete 180 from what I was used to after years of working in radio. Nothing delighted me more than to see Pauly Shore really cut loose. He was a blast, this is just the story I remember most. There were so many other random and hilarious things he did during the short time I spent with him. But nothing beats the bratwurst gag. Good times.
