Just before VH1's hit reality show, For the Love of Ray-J, hit the airwaves, the singer did a radio promo tour to hype up his CD, "All I Feel."
He came by the station one morning for an interview. I don't know how good or bad it was since I don't listen to that morning show. But later that night was when Ray-J really impressed me.
He, along with a few of us from the station and his label reps, rolled up to a local restaurant to get some grub and have a little conversation. From the get-go, this dude was cool like the sweat from a snowman.
It was just like talking with a buddy, he was full of stories. We asked him about his sister Brandy and her highly-publicized car wreck. He told us what he thought about it. We asked him about the new reality show we heard was in the works, so he told us all about that. And you KNOW we had to find out about his now-famous sex tape with Kim Kardashian. And he totally talked with us about it! From what he said, it was only Kim who had access to the tape.
Later, we all met up at local lounge and had lots and lots of drinks. He was really cool to everyone who came up to him, taking photos with fans, and even got on the house mic a few times.
Genuinely good person who really appreciates radio cats and his fans.
