In 2003, while working for E! Entertainment Television, I had the privilege of interviewing popular singer and actress Deborah Gibson, best remembered as pop star "Debbie Gibson" during most of the 1980's.

Gibson, who arrived for the interview with her mother/manager, was one of the most beautiful women I had ever met in the entertainment industry - something most photos and videos of her fail to translate.

What I remember most about my encounter with Ms. Gibson was our long conversation over a pan of homemade brownies. Deb and I nearly polished off the whole batch - and I'm not saying which of us was responsible for the bulk of the damage. Of course you would never figure Gibson to have much of an appetite since she's practically a size 0 on a bad day.

As a talented singer who is rarely recognized for her equally entertaining personality, Deborah Gibson has a sense of humor (and sharp wit to go wit it) that could rival any comedian in late night television. And if you give her a good brownie, she'll be your friend for life :)
