When talking to my friends and mentioning we were hitting South Beach on Saturday Night prior to Super Bowl 44, they as locals told me I was nuts.  "It'll be a zoo" they said.  It lived up to it's hype and then some.

It was 30 mins just navigating streets in South Beach just trying to find a garage that didn't cost $50.  The city was a madhouse, not that it isn't normally.  But Saturday night Miami was electric and all the stars came out to play.

I met some friends at the Bud Light party featuring performances by Jamie Foxx and Usher.  The star watching from the VIP was endless.  Everytime you turned your head you saw the likes of UFC fighters, ex NFL stars like Ricky Williams and Hines Ward.  It was a trip to the bathroom honestly that had me bump into one of my all time favorite Giants.  Michael Strahan.

In the interest of respecting the folks I rolled to this party to and got me VIP I didn't get all paparazzi on him, but you can't mistake the gap teeth of the FOX NFL anaylist.  He was a super friendly guy with a smile ear to ear.  Michael wasn't drinking (even with free booze at this party) and actually skipped out a little early to attend another South Beach soiree.  (probably because after he got recognized the flash bulbs did not stop) His next stop according to his twitter was a performance by Snoop Dogg, at 4am.

Super Bowl weekend was one in which the game became an after thought it was more about the star gazing and partying with celebrities.  Everyone let their hair down and cut loose.  it was a refreshing change!
