I met Staind at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise (Greater Fort Lauderdale area) several years ago. The band was all quite polite with the pleasantries, but Aaron and I actually had two conversations. When he first walked out, I was closest to the door. The smell of pot smoke hit me like a ton of bricks when it opened, and I laughed and told Aaron he smelled nice. A sheepish grin spread over his face, and he thanked me. I told him hello, and that my name was Erin, too, except spelled the feminine way. He thought that was cool. He was wearing his trademark Boston Redsox baseball cap. We commenced with the meet and greet, with about 50 or so listeners and a different group that was not with us all getting 8x10s autographed and taking photos. When it was my turn in line to get a photo, at the very end of the meet and greet, Aaron told me it was nice to see me again, and addressed me by name. I told him I was looking forward to the show, and we parted ways. It was definitely one of my more memorable celebrity encounters.
