Very rare that as an artist you are able to cancel a concert.  So it is imperative for the artist or band to take careof sickness promptly so not to infect te other band members and moreover be able to put on the best performance for the fans who support them.

In one of the rare occurances in which I took a night off from the radio station, it was to go see one of my favorite bands at the time the Barenaked Ladies.

I was bummed to find out that Ed Robertson was extremely under the weather and they almost cancelled that nights performance because he had a lack of voice.  It was a downer for me personally because they only had one area performance and I was due to meet the band.  Now I don't normally find myself star struck at meeting a band but was truly sad I wasn't gonna get to meet these amazingly talented dudes.

However, while blowing off the rest of their meet n greet, the record label rep brougt me backstage and they were nice enough to snap a photo with me before their show.  For the record, they sounded like nothing was wrong at all!
