When we saw her emerge on Dancing With The Stars in seaon 9 of the ABC hit show, many hadn't heard of Mya or simply hadn't heard from her in a few years.  She is very much a star though.

Have you ever hung out with that person that when they enter the room, everyone is drawn to them.  Mya has that.  I met her backstage at a concert she performed for a radio station I worked for in the winter of 2000.  Mya may appear shy, but once she flashes that amazing smile, she is magnetic.

The "My Love Is Like Woah" singer is multi-talented not only a singer, but actress, model and record producer among her many credits.  When I interviewed her she had a humble as pie happy to be there approach to things that made you fall for her even more.  Not only is she a good looking girl, but very driven to succeed at all the things she does.

If you are ever given the opportunity to meet her, do it.  She is an inspiration to anyone who has goals and dreams and won't take no for an answer.
